• Farmers, Soldiers, and Good Sports

These five soldiers were farming in the Trundle district, N.S.W., when war broke out. Theyare all keen tennis players, and took part “Country Week at the Sydney Carnival in 1915. Now they are all on their way to the front Reading from Left to Right they are - At Back: Ronald Elder Bell and Frank Berry. In Front: Octavius Kenneth Eason Bloomfield (killed in action 24th November 1917), Clarence Vernon Todd, and Lance Reid Eason Bloomfield. All are attached to the Engineers.
