    Albert was the cousin of Arthur and Ivo Fergusson, also of Balmaint, their fathers were brothers and the family was in close contact. Albert suffered a number of wounds and gas attacks in France during 1917 - 18. Albert died of wounds at a dressing station, after suffering gunshot wounds to the stomach during a contact with the enemy in October 1918, Lest We Forget.
