    (A.W.M. Gazetted Honours And Awards • 24/01/19 – Military Medal Recommendations • 16/08/18 – Prior to the attack east of Villers-Brettoneux near Ameins on 08/08/18, this man although wounded, took charge of a Lewis Gun Team whose lead had been killed and led them throughout the attack with great gallantry and skill. During the advance he encountered a machine gun, and going forward alone engaged it with his Lewis Gun silencing it and killing three of its crew. During the following two days this man continued to lead the Lewis Gun Team with the same gallantry and skill until severley wounded. (N.A.A. – 06/03/17 W.I.A. – B.W. to left arm. 29/07/17 W.I.A. 2nd occ and gassed, Belgium. 11/08/18 W.I.A. 3rd occ. To 5th Aust Field Amb and then to 53rd C.C.S. G.S.W. to shoulder. 15/08/18 D.O.W. at 53rd C.C.S. 21/08/18 Buried Daours Communal Cemetery Extension 2 ¾ miles W. Corbie.)
