    Langlo Downs, Charleville, Queensland. (Red Cross – Pte Michael Francis Heenan 6086 26th Bn – He was killed just behind me by a shell on Westhoek Ridge just as he was jumping into a trench. Lingered for about 5 minutes. 2 or 3 of us buried him. J Hinks his particular mate got his belongings. Pte William Burke 4081 26th Bn. – I saw him killed at Menin Road near Ypres. He was hit by a shrapnel bullet to the chest. Casualty happened on the morning of the 20/09/18. He was buried at Menin Road. Pte Henry Richard Marsh 5385 26th Bn – Pte Hincke of 26th Bn A Coy (now in Hospital gassed) was a friend and told me and told me about his being wounded and dying on 20/09/18 at Ypres. Pte John Ewars Hincks 5342 26th Bn. – K.I.A. 20/09/18 and buried in field. (N.A.A. – 02/03/17 W.I.A. Bomb wound. 20/09/17 K.I.A. Belgium)
