    Born on the 6th of November 1890 at Mallala, SA – daughter of Richard ALFRED & Elizabeth HUXTABLE – who married at Gawler South, SA 24/1/1872 Richard died 29/6/1903 at Mallala, age 67, and Elizabeth died 21/4/1911 at Mallala, age 61 Siblings: Mary b.1871; Albert Alfred b.1875 – d.12/5/1919 SA; John Wesley b.1878 – Boer War, Tpr 57, 4th SA Imperial Bushmen; Richard Herbert b.1879; Lydia Elizabeth b.1882; Alice b.1884; Ethel May b.1887; Robert Samuel b.1889; Joseph b.1891; Religion: Church of England Trained in nursing at Kalgoorlie for 4 years Government Hospital, Albany 1916 Served at No.11 AGH, Caulfield before overseas enlistment WW1: [NOK: brother, John Wesley Alfred of King St, Alberton, SA] Joined 26/4/1917 Embarked 29/5/1917 on the Khiva for India – disembarking Bombay 18/6/1917 Posted to Victoria War Hospital, Bombay 21/6/1917 for duty Transferred to Station Hospital, Secunderabad 11/12/1917 & Station Hospital, Bangalore in February 1918 Resigned appointment on account of marriage Married Archibald Duncan Campbell LINN on the 9th February 1919 in Bombay, India [date taken from India Select Marriages] Children: John C b.c1920 & Helen A. b.c1923 Living “Ellesdene”, Champatti, Bombay, India in 1923 1925 visited Australia from India: Archibald (Engineer, 33), Ellen (34), John (4) & Helen (2) embarked on the Mooltan in Colombo and arrived at Fremantle 12/5/1925 1928: Ellen A.
