Love Letters that were written between Edgar and Esme have been misplaced or lost. Letters between the two were being exchanged up to and including 18th July 1916. Edgar was shot at the Battle of Fromelles on 19/20th July 1916. A thorough search is still active, for those Love Letters somewhere in Victoria, Australia. They were last sighted Saturday 12 January 2013 January 2013 somewhere between Melbourne, Charlton, Ouyen and Stawell each of which is in Victoria. Comment added by one of Edgar's and Esme's grandchildren, namely Graham Bennett Oke Trimble 17th January 2021.
